- Where do you hail from?
I was born in Nagasaki Japan, and moved to Whitianga when I was 12, and have lived in New Zealand ever since!
- Did you grow up spending a lot of time in nature?
Nagasaki is coastal, very green and mountainous. My family home is on the side of a very bushy mountain. I remember climbing small mountains with my parents in Summer and picking sweet acorns in Autumn (delicious!) Living in Whitianga, I spent a lot of the weekends going to different beaches with friends - eating, chatting, laughing!
- What are you most passionate about in life?
To always find time to play.
- How do you like to spend your leisure time?
I am a new mum and don’t really have a leisure time at the moment, but if I did… I would love to sleep for a long time!
- Do you have a preference for traditional or contemporary art?
Contemporary art! Especially the kind of art that you can touch and experience…!
- Which is your favourite piece by Charlotte Penman & Co?
It has to be my green sapphire engagement ring but also the daisy chain earrings (first earrings I bought from Charlotte) are my staple and all time favourite.
- What’s your favourite song at the moment?
Under the Sea from Little Mermaid. It’s my baby, Asa’s favourite song. My husband, Elliot and I sing this song everyday, and makes Asa SO HAPPY!
