It was such an honour to work with Isaac on this meaningful and significant piece, and to witness his love and awe of Abby. The ring was a surprise and therefore we both wanted to make sure we had the essence of Abby held within the piece, and mused over possibilities… For sure Isaac takes the cake when it comes to presenting a vibe of his beloved.

We started the process remotely in 2021, Isaac from his home in San Francisco and me in my Auckland garden studio! We navigated lockdowns, covid craziness, multiple directions and miraculously a proposal in Abby’s second home New Zealand coincided, first in Abel Tasman and then re-presented at virtual book club back in Auckland… Truly a whirlwind of adventure and fun, and wishing them, and their newest fur baby addition a lifetime more…

Huge congratulations to the very cool Abby & Isaac, who got engaged while in Aotearoa trekking Abel Tasman recently, along the way Isaac said he loved having adventures with Abby, and surprised her with a very special green sapphire, that blended perfectly with the mystical landscape, and lucky for him she said yes!
